It’s refreshing to find a Jamaican blog about about jazz, and a good one too. Claudie Wilson’s Jamaica Music Offbeat is a blog mostly about jazz music and the Jamaican based festivals it inspires. He is serious about jazz and what drives it. He knows a thing or two about the music from his background as a former PR and publicist for a Jamaican Jazz pianist and a profile editor on All About Jazz website.
Reading his knowledgeable entries on jazz one would hardly guess that Claudie makes a living in agricultural sales and is the author of three handbooks on agriculture. Perhaps it tells us that the writer is as offbeat as the subject of his blog.
